I Found this site while trying to figure out what Turqouis Jewel cichlids usually get and I think I finally after years have figured out what it could be and what to medicate it with.

This site is very informative and you can buy all your meds straight from them. You can also call them up and talk with someone if you can't find out what disease your fish has.

I hope this is not a repost or anything. If it is, sorry.

Not sure. They recommended Erythromycin to treat my angelfish, which had swim bladder problem. Their Erythromycin didn't dissolve too well. I found granules undissolved granules in the bottom of the tank. After a week of treatment, I went to an LFS and bought Maracyn, which had Erythromycin. It dissolved allot better. Although in bulk, NFP's was allot cheaper, I found Maracyn dissolves allot better.

Anything like that I try to disolve in warm water first and then pour into the tank.

It wasn't until a few days later when I realized what it was. Plus most meds they carried were available locally. You do get your moneys worth from NFP, but meds have expiration dates and I doubt I will need the extra I have left. I rather buy them on as a as needed basis, so I don't have meds sitting on my shelf and expiring.

True. Now that I think of it. I have meds sitting in my cabinet. Not to many but some are a few years old. Im sure they are no good.

All the fish shops around here never carry any meds I need. So I think I will order what ever I need from them. Very small amount though.
