I saw on aquabid some nano bettas for sale, on 1.25" from head to tail.
I don't know if this link will work but here's one of them http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/auction.cgi?fwbettashm&1262321192

they're adorable! But do you think they would have health problems? Are the giants known to have health problems?

I've not heard of these before. Perhaps the seller is trying to get rid of the healthier runts by advertising them as nano bettas.

A nano Betta?

what on EARTH is that?

never seen / heard about one at all.

Hopefully they're just small and don't have any health problems. Could well be runts that they're trying to shift as a new "type".

I'd quite happily own one but I wouldn't breed it.

Yeah I'd never seen them before either, which is why I brought it up here to see if anyone else had heard of whether or not they're a legitimate variation. The same seller has a few others for sale in other colors. I wasn't planning on buying one or anything because I don't particularly want to deal with genetic defects. I already have a miniature horse who is quite delicate as is typical for minis and I can just imagine it would be the same with a mini fish.

Amber..

You proberly dont  Sorry to break it to you.

Out of the Whole couple year's of Betta Studying / Reasearching.

NEVER have i came accross a "Nano" Betta.

The person is proberly trying to scam you off.

To be honest. I Dont like the look of it..
I Like the body. But you cant realy see any of the tail ( Looks like a Halfmoon to me )

Reminds me of a feeder guppy

I really think they're just runts. Healthy from the looks of them, but simply runts.

I saw those the other day when I was looking through aquabid. Looks to me like they're just runts that the sellers looking to make a quick buck off of
