I recently bought a pair of nannacara anomala, they were doing great (besides a little harrassment from the male).

then, within an hour or two of feeding them one day i found the male, who had previously been healthy, hiding in the top corner of the tank and breathing very heavily. He has no signs of a disease or damage but just lies on the ground or floats in a corner breathing heavily and hasnt eaten for a few days.

I thought that the fish may have spawned, but there are definately no eggs in the tank.

All the other fish are fine, its probably too late to save him but help or ideas would be appreciated.

thanks, Tom

That was a possibility i thought of, but every other fish is fine. The tank has some plants and the filter ripples the surface and its pretty understocked so should be fine.

thanks for the idea, i'll post this topic there as well
