please can someone ID this plant
Picture166.jpg

it seems to be fast growing (doubled size in a month)

I think its either water wisteria or indian fern. Thats my opinion. I could be wrong.

I think it is Ceratopteris thalictroides, one of the Indian Ferns, maybe C. cornuta, but cornuta tends to have chunkier leaves.

The new leaves kind of unroll, right?

Hi Wolf,

my water sprite started off looking like that untill i upgraded my lights. if you have under 2 WPG then thats probably it at 3WPG the leaves are a lot finer and more intricate.

and yes the leaves roll out from the base, very fast growing

this was one week after planting

really nice plant and pearls all the time

personally i would call it Bob!! :p

But on a more serious note it looks like wisteria to me!!

ok people. getting confused now.

is my plant "Water Sprite" then or something else. i'm only calling it that as it "said so on the box" not that that means much.

looked very simmilar to the Wolf's pic when bought.???

Hygrophila difformis, wisteria, is a stem plant. The leaves appear either side of a central stem. Ceratopteris thalictroides and the other species of Indian Ferns are rosette plants, the leaves grow from a substrate level crown.
