I'm thinking of getting some of these guppies but I can't seem to find much info on them. I know they are the wild types and are really tiny. From the names on pictures I can only see them labled as Poecilia reticulata but that's the same name as the fancy common guppies right? They arn't endlers they are colored very differently. More pastel colors.

Anyways here's a pic of the guppy I am talking about:

All Guppies are the same species, Elisabeth, from Wild to Fancy to Feeders. They are just modified, or specially bred. The fish you posted looks like a normal Wild Guppy to me. :) No special breed. Or the second looks like an Endler/Guppy hybrid maybe. Kind of hard to tell, though. :X

The first one has some distinct Endler's markings, I reckon that one's a hybrid, but the second looks more like natural guppy markings.

I have one that looks exactly like the male in the top photo except that mine has clear fins. I don't know what mine is though, he's the product of a group of feeders guppies I got.

The top one is a strain of endler I keep red bar endlers so you can rule that strain out, i do agree the bottom one is a endler cross guppy

Ok thanks everyone for all the information :D If/when I get them I'll take pictures and post them and you can all tell me what the ones I have are. I was just told by the guy who owns the shop and breedsthem that they were not endlers and he just called them "wild guppies".

Well, wild Guppies and Endlers can look a LOT alike, so it could have been a mix at the store, it's hard to say. But yes, post piccies if you get them. :D

there a guy selling these type of guppy's on EBay at the moment.

5 males plus a free junior female, going for about 12 pounds at the moment with 3 days left
