name my fish

help i have three algae eaters that are all gold in colour and about 2 inches long can anyone tell me what they are called. thanks.

the most common "gold" algae eaters are
goldn sucking loaches aka gold chinese algae eaters
these fish become very very aggresive as they get older
here is a pic of one does it look like the fish you have?

My CAE's were about a year old at the LFS when I bought them, and I have seen no aggression. But really, be prepared if they do start to bother other fish because they can be really mean.

the picture is the same as mine but one of them has become quite transluscent and is spending all its time on one specific plant any ideas.

Did you just get them recently? If so, maybe he is a little stressed from being brought home in a little bag and put into a aquarium.

ive had him for about four months now and he has only gone like this the past two days.

Odd, perhaps something else in the tank is bothering him?
