This happens quite a lot nowadays.
Please dont take this wrongly (as it has already occurred) I will use your thread to highlight this so please excuse me.
N. eggersi fry are very, very small, even smaller IMO than N. rachovi
Please see image below to give you some indication of size.
N. rachovi fry on a 5ml medicine spoon.
If you are going to purchase eggs of Nothobranchius or other South American Annuals please do a little research on hatching and fry care of that specific species you've bought. A great deal of these genre of killifish spawn very small eggs and equally small subsequent fry.
Prepare well beforehand in regards to providing first foods for your charges. Small fry equals small foods usually microscopic, at least for the first few days to a week. These genre of fish fry need food straight away, no room for error, they need food once they hatch.
Whilst I feel it may be too late for this batch of fry, you may be lucky enough to get some through by feeding "Green Water" (algae) but you will soon need to hatch brineshrimp or culture microworm.
Nothos will, for the main, only accept livefood.
Sorry to spell things out on this specific thread but I do feel the need to make folks aware that they should involve themselves in a little more research before making their choices.
Just as a footnote, anyone wishing to enter into the world of annual killifish via obtaining and hatching eggs, one would be better off choosing
Nothobranchius guentheri as a beginners sp. They are more forgiving and the fry are much larger.
Again sorry for such harsh words.
If you wish to start again at some point and reside in the UK and have a desire to culture your own livefoods then you can contact me for your needs (I have most of the commonly cultured types, not too expensive)
