i have a mature female apistogramma cacatuoides who seems extremely bloated around the stomach
ive had endlers die of this before, and i assume it's internal bacteria.
ive begun a course of myxazin because it says it treats bacteria in your aquarium, i just wanted peoples opinion on myxazin treating internal bacteria?

I don't think myxazin very good on internal bacteria infections.
Though saying that lfs bought meds are only good on mild bacteria infections.

Being bloated can be swim bladder, dropsy, constipation, internal parasites, tumours.

What does it look like when your fish go to the toilet.
What do you feed the fish.
Is the anus enlarged or red and inflamed.
Do any fish look skinny.
Do any fish have sunken in bellys.
Do any fish swim on there sides.
Are scales sticking out.
Any fish shows signs of a bent spine.
Any worms prutruding from the anus of the fish.

How many gallons is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

no skinny fish, only the large female apisto, similar behaviour to endlers when they had it, over large stomach, lethargic, not eating much, staying in upper levels of tak, supporing herself on leaves, darkened colouration, nitrite and ammonia levels are fine

whats good for internal bacteria then?

it sounds bacterial then.

In the uk there esha 2000, myxazin by waterlife, and internal bacteria med by interpet.
Any of them will be fine. But if the bacterial infection advance it might not help.

There a jbl med called furanol 2 but it wipes the beneifical bacteria out in the filter.
So I would only use it in issolation if you can't kit start the tank again with mature sponges.
