I have set up and work with several wet/dry trickel flters. I have NEVER had this happen. Any ideas how to fix it?

I have primed it, and done everything correctly but...

The right side flow steady and fine into the filter. The left side does not. I had to connect both out takes to a T because there was only one hole in the sump. Would this T cause this problem? If I pour more water in the overflow...it works... but stops....The tank is 1/8 inch off level...

HELP ANYONE!

i would think the T is the problem here. the water is going to go with the least resistance, thus going to the right side. to maybe correct this problem a smaller section of tubing (or whatever you are using) on the right side and a bigger on the left. you say that when you pour more water into the overflow the system works. thats probably due to the amount of water going in.. it has to go to the left side, it can not all fight down the right side of the T. I bet the right side is closer to your overflow return than the left is.

or I could just be plain nuts and not really get what you are trying to say.

hey, take out those bioballs and replace it with liverock. it will be much better filtration and easier manteince, the bioballs can become nitrate factories.

just ask you fish store for liverock rubble, if they have any just order some cheapo liverock off line and put it in where the bioballs go (take a hammer to it if you need it in smaller peices, probably better, more surface area for bacteria...)
