Alrighty, so my betta Bluebell, that is currently in the Q/H tank has a mystery fuzz on her.
The best way to describe what it looks like is a layer of dust.
It's sorta fuzzy and has the appearance of well... dust.
When you first look at her, you don't even notice it, but when you actually get close and look you can see it on her. It's not really white, more of a grey color.

I have no idea what it is but it's not going away no matter what med I use.
I've used Jungle Fungus Clear, nada
Maracyn 1 & 2... nada
Triple Sulfa... nope...

What could it be and what med should I use to get rid of it?

I did a large water change today b/c she was a bit clampy and not as active as usual. She's still eating, and even though after the water change she perked up a bit, I can tell she still doesn't have the energy she used to.

Here are some photos I took of her.

Here is one showing the worst of her sides... the whitish line isn't a stripe on her, it's a stripe of whatever this stuff is..

In this one, you can see the fuzzy stuff on the top and bottom really well. You get an idea of what it looks like on her.

Is this columnaris? What other meds out there could I get and use that will get rid of it finally if that is what I'm dealing with?

Could be velvet, I'm sure someone else will be along in a minute with a second opinion. Do you get the interpret range in USA? If so they do a velvet treatment. Good luck.

POssibly Saprolegnia Fungal Disease. Malachite green cures this. Siamese fighters are one of its most common targets. Also could be saddleback bacterial infection. Try a broad range all spectrum treatment as this is an odd little disease that seems fungal to me, but could be bacterial.

i agree with araura. my fish had a similar fuz like this. i never treated it because i had no money at the time and just put her in a tank of her own and did water changes every day. i probably got very lucky though.

Well we just went to the petstore and didn't know what to get.
I'll see if fiance will go tomorrow to the little LPS across from his work to see if they have any Malachite Green.

You tryed the bacterial meds and its done nothing.
I wuld try and get a med like this one.
Clout
Manufacturer: Aquarium Products
A very strong and effective medication for parasitic and protozoan infestations. Treats: Ich, Hydra, leeches, Planaria, Epistylis, Trichodina, Hexamita,Tetrahy-mena, body fungus, digenetic flukes, parasitic copepods, monogenetic flukes and anchor worms.

Is there a pinky sore on the gill.

No mystery pink sores around her gils, unless they're being covered up by her colors.
The red marks that you can see in the pics is just her coloration. Same with the slight pink marks.

Thank you for another suggestion for meds. Hoping we can find one of them so we can get rid of this.

Ok just wanted ot check as sometimes pics can be deceiving.
You could have two problems going off parasite with a bacterial infection on top.
Good luck,.

Well she doesn't flick or rub against anything like this stuff is bothering her that way. Or could fish get a parasite such as this and not even notice it?
We did go out and buy some parasite meds since we just didn't know what else to get. Think I should start using it?

What are your water parameters?
Had a friend of mines corydora do this once when their water was not correct for the conditions they needed.

If it was a parasite I would of expected the fish to be flicking and rubbing.
Any darting about.
The only other option is to do some methylene blue baths on the fish.

You know it could be something to do with the water quality.
B/c I woke up today and she barely had any of the stuff on her. The line that is on her that's shown in the photos was completely gone and so was most of the other stuff.
I guess the water change helped her.
I was doing water changes every other day since the tank isn't cycled (she's in the Q/H tank)... but I'll start doing them every day to keep the water quality better for her so this won't happen again.
Could've also been the copper stuff I put in, *shrugs* We'll see though. I haven't added in any meds yet (fiance couldn't find clout or malachite green at the LPS)... and will hold off on adding any if she doesn't get worse again.

Thanks everyone for the help!
