Mysterious Guppy Death

my guppy died last night i have had him 4 months my platy chases all my guppys in a agressive way all male not trying to breed they all have rips in there tail

what do i do with him

Do you have a tank you could put in him -- that would contain no other Guppies or Platys??

If not, then it's probably best to see if you LFS will take him.

allready asked a few none will take him back

Can you seperate them to seperate tanks? The longer this goes on the more stress the Guppies will have. How many male/female Platies do you have?

no i cant sepertate them due to i only have one other tropical tank and he will get eat if he goes into the piranha tank

but he is not breeding coz he chases them in a angry manor

If it's all males, that explains a lot of things. Male Livebearers are big maters, and when they have no females, they'll take it out on the other males. What size tank are they in, and how many males do you have? Try adding in lots of hiding places and plants. However, if it's a small tank, there may not be much hope for this situation...

Continuing on what Anna was saying, there should be a ratio of 1 male to every 2 or 3 females, as for the tank, if the rest of the fish are fine together, just that one bully, I would use a tank seperator if you can't fine anything else, It just depends on the size of the tank, if you already don't have one.
