Fish Crazy
Hi everyone,
Much to my chagrin, I noticed one of my delfax spotted cories was missing today at feeding time. I searched the tank thouroughly, not knowing where it could have gone, and began to dread the worst.
I lifted up my mopani driftwood, only to find my poor fish's corpse lying trapped underneath. I fail to see any explanation for it other than the cory, while searching for food, dug into the gravel under the driftwood, either crushing or trapping itself until it starved. I don't know how long it was there, but I do remember seeing both cories yesterday, swimming around as normal.
Has anyone ever had this happen to one of their fish? I feel rather guilty, as if I set up my driftwood in a precariously delicate position to trap a curious fish. Also, does anyone know any way that I can avoid this type of thing happening in the future?
Thank you in advance for your advice and sympathy.
