I have a 10 gallon tank in it i have 2 gold fish 8white clouds mountian and 6 Z dianio am i over stocked and could i get rid of the goldfish put a heater in the tank and buy some betteas fot the tank???

Yes, you are extremely over-stocked. Yes, return the goldfish to your LFS and get a heater as the rest of the fish are tropical or sub-tropical. No, you can't add bettas - you can't add anything.

Actualy, if you want bettas (I'm assuming you want 4 females - the most you can keep in a 10 gallon - and you can't get more than a single male as males attack other bettas), return ALL your other fish to your LFS and get the 4 FEMALE bettas OR 1 MALE betta instead. Don't add anything else.

Where are the goldfish going, even with them removed the tank is still over stocked.

I've heard about zebra danios to be in a minimum of a 20gallon tank. They are way to active to be swimming in a 10gallon.

zebra dainos are rly fast and like big environments . You should go by the rule of 1 inch per galon, so ur 8 white clouds make around 8 gallons , return the goldfish and get a heater, and return u Z Dainos

You dont have to return them. You can sell them on this forum. Its the best way so then expreienced fish-keepers can keep them.

Is it a 10 gallon or a 15 gallon? Your post and sig disagree. Danios should be kept in a larger aquarium, but it isn't aweful to keep them in a 15 gallon if they are in a decent sized group. If you've got the space, you may just want to upgrade to a 20 gallon, they aren't much more work to maintain, and you could keep the 10 gallon for fry or as a hospital.

i agree with peaches. upgrade to a 20 long and get 2 more zebra danios and get rid of the goldfish. they will way outgrow this tank and should be kept in coldwater where as the wcmms and zds need warmer water.
