A LFS near here has bettas in small plastic vases on his counter. There is no heating for them, and it gets to 9 degrees celcius overnight here at the moment. When I mentioned it to the man, he said, "yeah, they'd get a bit cold overnight, but they've been in there two weeks". So, basically because they were still alive, he thought it was o.k to have them cold. Another comment from the LFS owner was "they don't do much". Well his bettas don't do much, because they can barely move. Mine swims about all day because it is in a stimulating environment, he is kept at the right temperature, and is in clean water.

Anyway, good luck with your website.

Ohhhh!!! That type of idiocy makes me so angry!! Why dont pet store of fish store owners actually care about their products well being!? argh!

Looks good so far but in the food section you may want to add that things like bloodworm should only be fed to your Betta once a week. This is because they are high in protein and may cause your fish to become bloated. :good:
