My turquoise rainbow fish has developed an orange stripe on his head and part way down his back. I think he is angry with the other rainbow fish. Has anyone ever seen or heard of this before?
Is it a blue rainbow? Dominant males often get a very yellow/orange stripe from their face and down their back. Looks brilliant! It comes and goes depending on mood.

He is not angry so much as horny. The blaze which in M.lacustris might be orange, but I have seen usually bright sulphur yellow is commonly associated with male fish trying to "get it on" with the ladies, failing that just about any fish that is in the vacinity.
