My Tetras Have Fin Rot

Hi.

Im a novice fish keeper and have figured out some of my tetras have fin rot (I think). How should i treat them and will it harm the other fish if i treat the whole aquarium because i dont have a quarantine tank.

if u use something like melafix it will be fine on the rest of ur tank, its actually good for coatings scales and what not, im too lazy to read my bottle. but that should work.

their fins might also be ripped because of chasing and nipping. are there other fish in ur tank? (bigger ones that might want to eat ur neons?)

I got two quite big honey gouramis and a pink gourami. I didnt think they would bother the neons though!

well how big is ur tank? if they feel crowded they might attack others.

hm that doesnt seem to small, but they still mightve nipped. you will have to watch for that. but for now all i can say is treat them so they dont die (if they in fact have it)

but fin rot can be caused from stress, nipping, and poor water
