Hi all,

my tetra for the past few days keeps going and floating behind the filter in a vertical position, is there something wrong with it? Neither tetras seem very nice and they are always picking on each other / the neons, they dont however pick on my molly. It still comes out for food and still swims round if the others disturb it but it spends the majority of its time behind the filter??

I have 2 babies in the tank (thought i would mention this incase it affected and answer) and they arent in a breeding net they are just hiding in an ornament

Do you think he's ok?

Thanks Nicola

not an expert but to my knowledge this means they are stressed
as when i got some cardinal tetra from a mate they did this for acouple of hours after they mere moved
have you chenged anuthing in the tank recently

Also what fish are in the tank.

The way you said 'neither tetra seems very nice' do you only have 2?
This could easily be the root of your problem.

If not it could also be water quality. What are you stats?
Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, pH

Hiya, sorry about the delay its been hectic.

I have 2 tetras that look a little like sharks, 5 neons, 1 molly & 2 plecs

I also now have 2 baby mollies (i did have 2 mollies before one died i presume giving birth)

I have had 5 tetras 5 neons 5 mollies in the tank but just cant seem to keep hold of them, whatever i try doing just doesnt seem to work, i shall test the water tomorrow and post the results,

As for has anything changed in the tank other than fish dying no, i did a water change the other day which is when i found the babies and since have had the lights out so they dont eat the babies
