I have only been keeping fish for a couple monthes now, since June actually I think is when I started. The tanks arnt that spectacular, but from what I've learned from this forum, I think I have created a happy environment for my fishes. (Excuse the blurriness on some of the pics, my camera is cheap. Also, excuse the messiness of the pics. I shoulda cropped them in paint before posting but I just got lazy, so just try to focus on the tanks :D )

My 55G Tank. :p I don't like the background, doesn't go with the natural rock of the tank, and I know the plants look crappy too. The fish seem happy to have the nooks of the rocks to hide in atleast. I keep two Bala's, a Common Pleco, two small Bumble Bee cat's, a small Ghost Shrimp, and two Black Mystery Snails. I know the bala's will outgrow the tank but I'm going to enjoy them till they do and then prob sell them back to the lfs and get some fish more suited to this size tank.

These are my Bala's; Salt (the chubbier one, about 4", I think female) and Pepper (Thinner, about 4.5", I think male)

This is "Glowurm," my Common Pleco. She is about 6" right now and the oldest fish I have. Of course I fell into the beginner trap of buying a Common but I love her and will always make sure she is happy. I don't think i'll be able to sell her back to the lfs.

Bout the best pic I can get of either catfish. They hide in the rocks so good you would usually never be able to tell they are there.

My 30G Tank. :) I really like the way this tank has turned out and it was just pure dumb luck that the background matches the decor and substrate perfectly. I keep my 2" male Jack Dempsey and a 2.5" Chocolate Pleco in here. I know this tank is too small for either fish, but for right now, the money tree isnt producing so while they are this size, they will live here.

This is my Jack Dempsey. He is quite aggressive already at his small size and I love it. I think he is kinda lonely though and thought about trying to find him a mate, but with the tank size, that's not feasable at this time. One day...

This is my other Pleco. I called it Casper for awhile cause it would hide just as much as the bumble bees but now he is getting larger and more ambitious and normally always see him out in the open on the glass or on the clay sucking off algae.

The two together negotiating who will get the clay pot cave. The Jack said it was his and Casper ran back under his log. That's usually where both hang.

Very nice, especially for a beginner, I shudder to think of the neon monstrosity I started with.

Thanks alot. Hehe, the 10G you see under the 30G picture is actually where all the learning began. I actually had neons, mollies, and my pleco Glowurm in that to begin with. Three bouts of Ich and much frustration later, everybody but my pleco is gone. So, I didn't just jump into this and get lucky to make decent tanks. These two are only successful because of everything I've learned from Fishforums.net.... and no.....im not doing a commercial for them :p

nothing wrong with neons, theyre very pretty. Dont be so snobbish :/
