Hi just a few pictures of my tank,
I have NO fish or Inverts in my tank at the moment as I'm Still experimenting and changing it around. (happy with its lay out now)

The Echinodorus tenellus has gone crazy since These pictures (1 week old now) it has 6 of shoots each about 1 inch away.
and the Dwarf hair grass is spreading well after it's little hair cut (What a mess it made)

I also added some Cryptocoryne Balansae

Sadly I have So many snails that I want gone.
Don't fancy buying any fish yet because of them.
I'm wondering how dire snail killer chemical will damage my plants :(

after thats all solved I plan to buy some

Cherry shrimps
Otocinclus
Guppy
Neon tetras

Hope you like the tank
Best regards
Carl

hi , lovely tank ,, jus curious what the little grass like plants are on the bottom ? and would you reccommend ? thanks

The Small grass plants you see are Dwarf hair grass (common name)

the ones I have grow to about 6 inches and propagate via runners,
they ideally want a rich substrate and medium lighting to really grow,

If you decide to get some split them up into small clumps plant them and cut them down to the gravel/sand
the encourage them to spread their roots. (depending if you want to carpet your tank)

hope that helps

Great looking plants they are going to grow beautifully I am
sure under that light.
How about adding a trio of young clown loach you wont have any snails at all
before long.

they dig in the ground and would uproot my plants :(

Plus I Don't want to buy them only to return them (not a fish I want to keep)

How about gettinga smaller type of loach to deal with youre snail problem one that isnt strong enough to uproot youre plants.?

Can't remember, but didn't you ask about this before & I suggested you use non-copper based med 'Flubenol 15'?

DON'T use snail killers: they don't bloody work and poison your tank with copper.

Yes but I sadly can't still get the page to load, not to mention I can't locate this anywhere

And I have not used any copper based treatment yet. :) as I don't really want to.
