This is my set up. I've had turtles for the last year and the fish have been more of a food thing. The turtles have been given away now and I'm focusing on the fish. The big pleco and the two big cats have been with me the whole time. My fish in the tank are still kinda random. I'll focus once the tank works out it's querks. I loose a couple tetras a week. And my big cats have weird marbling. I think the general meds I bought are helping. You can see crazy pictures of my big cats marbling under 'Fish Emergences' posted by Briobug. Still curious as to what it is.

Ya, what ever fish were left over after the turtles left, stayed. I never cleaned out all of the water completely. Also the canister filter still had the turtle bio system in it. Just rinsed and washed it out. I have now just a couple of weeks ago changed all the filter stuffs with new. Still doing the bio filteration not chemical like charcoal. Much easier and longer lasting. I'd say it's been two months at least since i've changed over to just fish. I do a 25% water change every two weeks. Don't have chlorine remover chemical, jsut don't know what it is in Chinese so I'll make due. The fish here have lived in these conditions all their lives so I think coming to my tank is a step up.

Just to clarify, you are using some type of dechlorinator correct?

Your tank looks very nice, I like the layout.

Those are some really cool cats you have in there! hope you find out the marbling issue, very nice tank!

Those bigger catfish are Feather-fin Syno's

I used to have one. pretty cool.... do you notice them fighting ever? You're really supposed to have one per tank.

nice tank... sure it's 200 litres and not 200 gallons? looks loads bigger than my 190 litre in the pics!

So you have reaplced all your filter material ??

This would mean the tank has to cyle again

I'm not sure if it would TBH. Nitrifying bacteria will be pretty much on any surface, so there may be enough there to help the tank w/ the bio-load, and multiply back into the filter...
