I have a fish tank thats called Aqua 40L. But the problem is i dont know wether the 40L means 40 liters. Can anybody please help me with this? I have looked over the internet and i can find anything at all.

I was told before that when a tank says "40L" it's usually Liters. Does your tank look long though? Like a 20 gallon long aquarium? Where did you buy your fish tank?

Measure the Length, Height and depth of your tank. Then go to google and type your dimensions in like this:

30cm x 20cm x 20cm in litres.

It will calculate your tnk volume for you. Obviously bare in mind that you need to take into account the thickness of the glass and also that a certain amount of your tanks capacity will be taken up by gravel, plants, wood etc.

:good:

wicked! errrm its not very long buts its quite tall if that makes sense. i dont really know how to explain it. but if it is 40 liters will it be 20 gallons?

I got it from a aquatic dealership in nottingham

Okay according to a conversion table, 40 liters would equal approximatly 10.5 gallons.

great! thanks alot! sorry im new at all this fish keeping stuff but i do really enjoy it!

by the way do ya know any decent reserch sites? like for compatability.

Yep no problem. Good Luck with your fishy adventures!!

I'd say either post here and ask your question or if you do like a simple search engine search, for like one type of fish. Depending on what sites you read they will tell you what the fish you researched is compatitable with.
