It looks good but I think maybe the plants should be laid out in a more random pattern. They look too symetrical at present. :good:

Are the plants real, as they look to perfect. If they are, then as mentioned you could add more plants to make it more natural looking. If the plants are fake, go buy real ones, makes a massive difference :) :good:

You want him to throw away all of those plants and buy new ones?
I hope you plant on contributing to the new plant fund.

I'd group the similar plants together and also use the rocks/wood(?) to create one single main focal point and perhaps a second, less significant focal point at the other end of the tank.

Within the wild, real plants grow in groups, so wether you have real or fake plants group them together.

And no do not throw away those plants  . I have fake plants and they look fine. Not all of us want to tend to our tank every single day. Plus you don't know the fish he/she wants to stock. The fish may be herbivores and enjoy a good plant snack. Which would result in a huge waste of money.

I hate it when people say "Real plants are so much more better than fake" . It doesn't matter, it depends on how much time and money the person wants to devote and their stocking plans.

ok thanks all for your input id just like to add a few points

1= yes they are fake plants

2= i have tried numerous real plants but i have only 2 lfs whom dont sell many types of real ones and they keep dying within a week or two also my sailfin plec is guarenteed to uproot them at least twice a week which id have to replant them so far he hasnt bothered with the fake ones

3= so far i have spent 75 pounds on the fake ones which should last more than the real ones but i have probably quite easily spent double that on real plants which mentioned above do not last in my tank

4=the piece of bogwood is about 2ft long and i shall probably put it back to the middle of the tank again when i get more plants though this dont leave room at either side for further rocks or slate :grr: any suggestions as to what i can do ?

over all ill redo the tank and take your suggestions on board thanks for all who gave there input and if you have any more ideas feel free to post them cheers joe
