looks good. your glass cat would probably like some friends. i assume you know they get pretty large as well.
They only get to about 4", right?

Nice tank, and besides those two fish that will outgrow the tank, it's awesome
the biggest i have seen is 6 inches and i have heard that they will get bigger.
http://www.thetropicaltank.co.uk/Fishindx/glasscat.htm

planet catfish says 3 inches but i know thats not right... :/

even at 4 inches though, that tank seems a bit narrow :(

but they definately need to be in schools. personally, i think they are one of the most school-ey fish i have seen. :fun:

i think 4-5 corydoor is prob too much as the bio-load is about full and it will be pleco out and something equiverlent (bio-load wise) in so two small bottom feeders or 1 that doesnt grow as big as my pleco. dont worrie any fish that get too big will be moved into my bigger tank (29 litres)
the bio-load of corydoras is negligible compared to that of a Common Plec.

You will be fine with 5 corys. Honestly. :D

i did that already (thought you might have some good links or summit). those plants look a bit boring though isnt there anything a bit more colourful or intersting.

what are the problems with having a non aquatic plant as aposed to a truely. it seems helthy and has grown since being in my tank (i had no idea it was non aquatic, stupid me)

really 5 seems a bit much , how big do they get . this is my smallest tank (except my betta ones) about 15 inchs across and deep

it will last for a while in your tank (id say a month or a month and a half) and then it will start to rot and waste away.

fyi...not fun to clean up... :X

To be honest...i have no idea :p . I don't even know what the plant is called!!

I only mentioned it to you because when I set my first tank up I had exactly the same plant  and upon reading some posts on here it transpired that it was non-aquatic.

I left it in anyway ;) but after a while it started to decompose so I got rid and replaced with proper aquatic plants (although again, I have no idea what they are called! :X )

I wouldn't worry yourself. Leave the plant in for now and see how it goes. If it starts to rot, simply remove and replace with an aquatic one  .

would three corys be ok, can you mix the types or should you stick to one. this is for when i take out my pleco and CAE

Didnt realise your tank was that small :/ . Sorry.

You could maybe get away with three normal sized cories (3" max on average) but you would be pushing it and I don't really want to suggest squeezing them in.

Alternatively, a better idea would be to go with 5 pygmy cories  , which only reach just over an inch in size.

Or then again, why not go for a Bulldog Plec or Bristlenose Plec, each of which only reach about 4" in length  .

You can mix, but I would suggest, if you are going for just three, to keep them of the same type.

thanks a lot steve ,i think some pygmys would be great im gonna see if any lfs can get some in i think. thanks a lot

that plant looks like an aquatic Dracena i might be wrong but i think im right, what about a lace leaf plant?(APONOGETON MADAGASCARIENSIS )

I have a silar plant to that, and I have had it for about 6 months now and it hasent died or rotted. But it does stand up when out of the water.
