I have looked into it for the last 3 months and i am going to do it get a tank . I have saved all my money i get for the last 2 months and i have around $600. That is most of my savings for the last 3 years not including money spent on surfing stuf wich was around $700.
Stuff i am going to get to start it.

My first fish are going to be 2 clowns and the first corals are brain and star bust polyp . I am going to get plenty of hermit crabs ,nails ect. ect.

and about $ 20 to make the sump
