Hey there, i am getting slightly bored and I'm wondering what kinds of fish would go with guppies and platies that are reasonably cheap-ish (as i'm in high school, i have very limited funds...) my tank is 150L. Thanks in advance.

Before a reasoned answer can be given, you need to advise how many guppies and platies are currently in your tank. It may well be that you are fully stocked right now, and therefore adding 20 neon tetra would be unwise.

Its depending on how many guppies and mollies you have already...
What about-?
Mollies
Tetras

As already stated, its depends on your current stocking. Rather than neons, I'd say cardinals if you were looking that type of thing, stocking though is all dependant on your personal taste.

Provided your current stocking allows some extra fish, why not go for something that will not so much add more colour but add variety such as Black Neons. However Neons and pretty much all other tetras will not tolerate salt or hard water so only add them if you are keeping your current stock in soft water. Or you could just look around for some other colours in guppies (there is litterally hundreds of colour and tail types) or even just other coloured platties, swordtails, mollies or even a pair of sailfins.
