I think i need to clean out my tank, I dont have another one to set up and transfer the fish, so how can i clean my gravel without harming them?
Please help, its not looking to nice in there!!
use a gravel cleaner to clean the gravel! if the glass is dirty use one of those magnetic cleaning pads! which has a magnet on the inside and a magnet on the outside of the glass, and you move it around on the outside and the magnet on the inside follows and therefore cleans the glass!
yeah i know where ur commin from, i actualy remove my fish from the tank (my kulis and rasboras have a thing for shooting up my syphon hose) i put them in a bucket as its only for a short while (20mins or a little over) its either that or they end up on the tarmac outside my living room window! (yes this has happened glad to say the fish was ok)
i have this thing about takin all my decor out as well and completly upturning my sand
i know ill get blasted for my method of cleaning... but my waters perfect my fish are fine an my plants are doing great.
i do water changes as an when needed... sometimes its every week (dependin on how much sunlight hits my tank ewww algea) and sometimes its every fortnight..
if its not for long then imo its ok..... doubtless others will have a different opinion.
I do the same as nightlife on my betta tank. And I'll probably do the same on my 20g when I need to give it a good clean, luckilly the cories take care of any food lying around.
