this is a quick drawing of what i want my new 240l to look like and i would like you knowledgable people to recommend me some plants from my rather bad descriptions

i think will have about 2 wpg. i dont want to buy a presurised co2 kit so i might run several different co2 units although i know this could be asking for trouble. fertz will probably be tpn+ and tropica plant subutrate in places

i dont want a setup that requires alot of maintence but i dont mind doing a bit

can you please recommend

1. carpetiting plant?
2. grassy plants at the side and back. like this http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/index.php?...roducts_id=2649
3. plants to cover the base of the wood, on top of the rocks. somethine with large leaves like anubias
4. plants behind the wood that will rise up behind it, a bit like amazon sword but a bit bushier

wood looks nice ;)

for carpeting i like riccia personally.

but could you try cuba? possibly java moss? or even moss balls flattened out :)

1) HC, glosso, marsilea, pogostemon helferi, staurogyne
2) eleocharis sp. blyxa japoinca,
3) anubias, pogostemon helferi, staurogyne,
4) when you say amazon sword does that mean you want a rosette plant or a bushy stem plant?

how about micrsorum pteropus "narrow"
that is the fern i had in my 60l. Just get a piece of wood to raise it higher and it will look great.

Also, i know it is only a drawing but place the main feature 1/3rd from either end so it isnt bang in the middle.

i would have h.c and dwarf hairgrass, and then java fern "narrow" mixed with normal.

or you could do a iwagumi and just have h.c and dwarf hairgrass, this would look ace

cheers

yeah i think i will have it 1/3 of the way in from the left.

i also like the tank in your sig, the one on the left
