I've haven't kept a tropical aquarium in many years (read 18 or so); this is my first foray back into keeping a planted tank.

Some more details:

It's 60 litres in total; I use a Fluval 106 canister filter. I started with a HoB filter but I wasn't happy with the flow rate of it.

It has a Sunglo 15w fluorescent tube which I worried would be underpowered but it's doing fine. The tank is situated near a window and gets a lot of natural light during the day which helps and so far algae hasn't been an issue.

I use EasyLife ProFito liquid ferts and a daily dose of EasyLife - EasyCarbon. I don't have any fertilizer substrate, in retrospect I should have added it.

Inhabitants are 2 Apple Snails (Pomacea Diffusa) which leave my plants alone. There are some infant Panda Corydora's, 1 Red Dwarf Gourami and some Black Phantom Tetra's.

looks nice - makes mine look like a jungle lol - i like how the centre is empty - i will try this on mine soon

Do you have a pic, I'm intrigued :)

Looks great - any plans for future stocking?

As it's only a small tank I'm just aiming to maintain the stock levels of the current inhabitants. I quite fancy another tank though :hey:

You've got some lovely greenery going on there and great stocking - Black phantom tetras are my favorites :D now I'm in the mood for some planting :hey: .

I'm just gonna egg you on here and say 'get another tank!' - it's so addictive!
