My T. Natans

I have finally been able to sex my two T. natans and I found out that I have a pair . So, to celebrate a made a video of them having dinner. They are eating nightcrawlers and they are so much fun to feed and watch. They also still need names . I will post some more info about them when I get home.

I paid $30 for each of them at a fish store in the twin cities. They were about 12" long when I got them. They caught me totally by surprise when I saw them. I knew what they were, but I hadn't seen any for at least 6 years. I probably stared at that tank for 10 min straight before I convinced myself that they where real . Since then the store has been getting in small shipments of them regularly.

They are about 15" long right now and still have a lot of growing to do. The tank is a 55gal with Boesemani rainbows and rummy-nosed tetras. They are eating night crawlers every other day along with some jumbo shrimp every now and then.
