After a couple of years of keeping tropicals I have just upgraded my 135l tank to a 180l fluval vicenza. I have currently got 7 blue king tetra, 6 cherry barbs and 2 ancistus in the tank and was looking at adding to the stock levels. I went to my lfs to see what they have in stock, ask advice and ask what they thought about stocking levels. I would really like to add a chocolate zebra plec, 2x three spot gouramis and about 12-15 cardinnal tetra however I feel this may be too much for a 180l tank with a fluval 205 filter. Would this be too much (bearing in mind that the plec would only grow to about 10cm as they are dwarf)??? I have just posted in the plants section as I am finding the new tank to be alot brighter than the last so want to add to the plants to subdue the lighting as I feel the tank is too bright for what I have in mind. My other thought was to remove the smaller bit of bogwood (on the right of the pics to replace it with a bigger piece to give more cover for the plec and ancistrus. Would this help?
Any ideas or suggestions much appreciated.
