hello all,
i've had a tank set up for four months or so now and am very happy with how its going. but due to bad advice!! i've introduced a pair of mollies, and the poor female is being constanly hounded by the male. i thought that maybe introducing another female would share his efforts more evenly and give her a break. But he's now constantly chasing them and displaying to the point where there trying to hide all the time just for a breather. they've got pleanty of plant cover and the tank is 127 litres.
Any ideas how i can calm him down and prevent some of the hounding without loosing a gorgeous fish to look at?

The Females will be fine together :) . The M/F ratio for livebearers is 3F/1M. How long have the mollys been in the tank?

since the tank finished its fishless cycles, so three and a half months 'ish' i just introduced the second female today but i'll introduce a third soon then. i know now though that i should have perhaps let the tank run longer before i introduced mollies at all!!!! (bad advice from fish shop i think)

Ok, i just asked in case you added them recently and they hadn't quite settled in. Keep us updated on how you get on :)

Chris.
