My sick little fish :(

Woke up thismorning to find my platy sunk at the bottom of the tank, he has trouble staying around the top of the tank, other fish started picking on him so i put him in a fish trap. Now hes not eating he just sitting at the bottom anyone know whats wrong?

Can he keep his balance in the water at all? Have you seen him swim at all? Does he swim normally or does it look like he can't keep his balance? What are the water params? What does his poo look like?

Is he having trouble maintaining his balance in the water, is his tummy swollen, and are scales sticking out like a pinecone.

ok, he seems to be keeping his balance ok and i think he might be a little swollen. I don't have any tests at the moment for the water so can't help there sorry

Is he eating try him on a shelled pea, can you issolate the fish and treat him with anti internal bacteria med.

ok, it says to add salt to the tank, does this mean table salt? and should i just put it in his box or the whole tank?

he is issolated in a breeding box, i don't have the med for him though

Tonic salt or aquarium salt, but if you have none of them table salt will be fine can you issolate the fish.

Add the salt to the tank if you have no scaless fish, you will have to try the peas for now, it might be to late by the time you have got the meds, good luck anyway.

ok i will give the salt a shot and the peas, might i see a change by the morning if this works?

Do not use table salt in the aquarium. Use Cooking salt.
