I was toying with the idea of getting a male for a while when i saw this little guy in the coldwater section of my LFS [seriously i dont know why either]

Pretty little boy =] I was thinking of calling him Sparks? hmmm maybe lol

I was thinking that he ws just a normal veil tail until I was looking through some pictures, I think he is a double tail? Im not sure so someone may correct me lol

I'd like to start spawning once I have everything ready

In my opinion he's a split VT so his tail might heal back to the VT shape or stay as it is, Netty told me that a Spade tail is a type of VT tail anyway...at least I think thats what she meant...if not sorry Netty!!!

Yes it is a variation of the VT. His caudal looks split to me too. In a doubletail the differences are that the body is shorter and a little chunkier than normal and the dorsal fin starts much closer to the head of the fish being equal length to the anal fin.
