I have 5 rummy nose 20 neon tetra in a 50g tank. The rummy nose is swimming on their own, not schooling with each other till i scare them. Is there any problems? I conduct a 25% water change every week, use a water conditioner, and apply some medication to prevent them from getting diseases. I have a filter but not on 24/7. Feed with micro pellet about 2 pinch daily. And weekly feed dried bloodworm to them.

with some schooling fish, they stay together until they are comfortable with their surroundings then branch off on their own for awhile and then regroup later. This is what I think is going on since you said they shoal again after you scare them

Is that serious? A filter MUST be on 24/7
And what medications are you adding and for what? You can't just add chemicals to the water on regular basis, it will kill the fish.
I'd start checking the ammonia and nitrIte levels. These need to be 0 and your fish could be stressed from the poisonous toxins.

I adding some Ocean-Free Medication to prevent them from getting diseases.

Shoaling is fish living in a group for social reasons; schooling is a number of fish swimming in a synchronised group. Taken from here

Most shoaling fish will only school when threatened. If they feel safe they will do their own thing. I would not be happy if my fish were schooling as it would tell me they felt threatened in my tank.

Why are you not using your filter 24/7? As Snazy said, it should be on all the time.
