i keep trying rubberlipped plecos but they keep dieng...
water stats are fine.
ph: 7.5
amonia: 0
water softness: med.

tank: 30g
1 angel fish
5 corys
2 guppies
1 platy
2 tetras.
1 surviving rubberlipped.
and no fish are picking on them or anything.
i have tryed 2 diffrent lfs's.

what im feeding: i have plenty of alge in tank but i am also feeding them hiarki pleco thingys. i have had rubberlipped for years but never had them die like this.

o yea water temp is 78º F

any info would be great
 
You say you water is 'fine' have you ever actually looked at the temperature range preferred by the commonly available Chaetostoma spp?

68-73.4 deg F as per PC and prefer highly oxygenated and fast flowing water so as such do not travel well when they are plucked from the wild. You have one surviving but probably not thriving, perhaps get a sp. more suited to your set up?
