My Royal was moved to my 50g after I got my new tank as he is too small to go in there just now, I haven't seen him properly for a few weeks, and the other day, I saw he was out on the wood and noticed his dorsal fin was really badly torn up. I'm not sure if it was the breeding Sajicas in the tank or the bristlenose, but I moved him into my 20g and dosed with Melafix, and he's now looking loads better and easier to photograph as well, so here are the best pics I've got of him in months!!!

Thanks guys. He was in the tank with the Sajicas before and they never bothered him, but now there are no tiger barbs for the Sajicas to attack it could be them. I've not seen them going for him, and they are pretty peaceful for breeding Cichlids, but you never know. Anyway, he's healing up nicely in his new tank getting ready to go in with the big boys when he's older!!

only tiny. He's about 2" at the moment, and when he is big enough (around 5-6") I'll move him to the big tank. but for now he can have some peace and quiet in this little tank!!

£85! Crikey, that's a lot of money.

Our largest royal (Big Jif) was a bargain at £35 and he was 7 inches when we bought him.
