Technical difficulty, links fixed.

Yes, in my expert opinion I'd say they were definately rocks. :)
ROFL

yes, i looked at the link, the info was helpful. thanks a bunch. however, I started a new thread for the purpose of identifying these rocks specifically, as i've just taken pictures of them. :)

2,5, and possibly 8 and 9 are all granite rocks. The only reason I know is because I used to landscape and we put up granite walls all the time. However, I am not a geologist so there may be various types of granite.

I am a geologist  and there are many forms of granite ;)

I would suggest at a glance that those pebbles are going to be ok. 1,6 & 9 appear to be Metaquartzites while 2,5,7 & 8 are likely to be Granites. The only two I would be wary of using would be 3 & 4, which look suspiciously like red (Iron oxide rich) sandstones in an unaltered state.

The others all look well rounded and water worn so are probably good and harmless now if they ever were :good:

Thanks so much. These actually aren't pebbles, but rocks about the size of both palms put together. I assume your assessment would be the same though? I've set the "red sandstone" aside. perhaps i'll see if there is more of the granite or metaquartzite down by the dried up stream where i got the others. Thanks again.
