i had to empty my tank after getting invaded by the dredded duckweed!!

Does look better though now, nice tank.

I'm surpised the silver dollar never ate the duckweed, I've seen them demolish it before.
 
the silver dollar has its own tank now it destroyed my plants i had valace at about 3 1/2 foot, my juno was from bottom to top, and i had more cambodia then i could ever need and it took about 2 hrs to anniahlate it all. so now it has its own tank.

I can't see the plants properly, but it looks like you have at least a couple of non-aquatics in there btw -_- .
 
You think that was bad, my 2ft is so covered in the stuff that I am beyond caring.
 
Don't give up, 5teve-0! It is possible to get rid of duckweed entirely; I did it.

after nearly a week all my fishies have settled in and my 2nd filter started working propperly im now left with this

Nice tank mate, looking much clearer

I just added duckweed to my tank and I think it is really nice, I put it in there for fry to hide in, I know I will be taking clumps out weekly but dont they take in nitrates? so technically id be rmoving nitrates?
