Reasonably happy with inhabitants at the moment!

no fin nipping off the barbs and the fish all seem happy in pairs

2 Blue coral platy
3 platy fry
2 Harlequins
2 Neon tetra
2 Zebra Danio
3 WCMM's
2 Cherry Barb

You need to up the number of schools IMO, even if you say they are happy as they are, how do you know? Have you asked them? :p All schooling fish do better in schools IME, so this would be your neon tetras, harlequin rasboras, zebra danios, wcmm and i'm not sure but are cherry barbs schooling fish? I suggest you take the danios back to the LFS as really they need a tank of about 20Gallons as they are very active swimmers, maybe take back the wcmm as they are coldwater (but can be kept in tropical i know), and then up the number of neons and harlequins. Also, livebearers really need to be in trios, although I have had success with some of mine being in pairs, luckily the male isn't too bad with her, and i've had plenty of healthy fry from her. This is just my input and I hope it helps you, but it's up to you which way you go!

looks good, have you got a background?? i just find they make the fish & plants stand out more but then by the looks of it maybe you want to see the tank from all angles looks like its in the middle of a room :D

Cool tank!

You should have put the thermometer on one of the sides, out of the way. It is pretty distracting.

Thank you for the kind advice! i have considered adding a further platy but the pair i have bred in my tank (i think it was my pair unless they were already fertilised from the LFS)

i have the juwel structured black background

I like the looks of the plants, any closeups of the fish?

my photography skills aren't that good yet! i am using a 2mp camera phone but will make an effort to read the photography thread on here and post some further pictures!

thanks very much for the advice so far! any more comments are appreciated

I like the jungle like look, Yea it would be best to fill to the top, But you would first have to sort out a level stand, fro,m looking at the water level the stand must not be level

i think i have placed the tank just slightly off centre of the cabinet which unfortunately is a problem to move! i will have a go at moving it slightly when i next water change!

at first i thought it was just my poor camera skills!

Its best to have the tank as level as possible, as over time the side with the more water on it , has to deal with more water pressure, and can stress the seals more than the other seals, and give way.
