Hi all,

I wonder if anyone could help me. I've searched google and haven't found any valuable information although this is a common occurrence.

My beautiful red platy jumped out the tank sometime today while i was out.
I walked in the room and did a fish count (as I'm treating for Ich at the moment - and have lost 10 fish already)

I searched the entire tank for 20minutes; under objects, filter absolutely everywhere and moved the rocks and completely destroyed my decor.

Well I eventually found him under my bed. So he must of found the tiny gap in the canopy. (strange?).
He must have wiggled all the way off the table and 4 ft under my bed.

He looked dead and was covered in dust. (I have a wooden floor - A little dusty it seems) but I scooped him up and saw small signs of life with a little wiggle. So I dropped him back into the tank?
He swam directly to the bottom and sat there for 10 minutes and now is skimming the surface and doesn't accept food. Probably stressed like mad.

I have no idea how long he was out the tank for, I'm guessing a while if he decided to hide under my bed. He currently still has the dusty on him and a little on his gills. It also seems he has a light patch next to his gills while possibly could be a bruise? (My tank is at 85F (ich treatment) so I have no idea if the temperature shock when put back in the tank would affect him.)

What do I do? Its currently late here in South Africa, and can't visit the store for anti-stressing solutions and meds. Is there anything I can do to help with the things I have here at home so he makes it through the night tonight?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
