i was watching them and my male has tooken up terrority but the female isnt with him, he chases her out but she keeps coming back to his terrority, why wont they pair?

where they raised up together or did you just recently added the female... It's natural for rams to get agressive if you introduce another ram to an already establish tank. I would suggest getting a couple of more female so that the male won't stress your female too much, you'll even have a better chance of having a pair if you have several females for the male to choose from....just my 2 cents....

i'd go with sharky's adviose on this one

i just had to give 2 rams away last night because the male was too agressive and chased the female away
my other 2 rams have paired up so they would chase the female away too and leave no space for her. she was going to die if i didn't rehome her. So i gave away my pair

He's in a bigger tank now and not as agressive it seems!

so get more females if i get more rams? and they were raised together i bouight them both at the same time

get mroe females only if you have room to house them
rams are very territorial and can kill other fish if they intrude their territory
that's what almost hapenned to me
