This tank was 30" long, 18" deep & 12" wide. I had lump of bog wood in middle as you can see & it turned my water yellow every 2wks, i'd soaked it for 8wks & it was in the tank around 5mth & eventually i got naffed off with tea coloured water & took it out but i kinda like the set up & that as a feature in the middle.
I still have that piece of bogwood too.
Anyhoo is there anything wrong or anything you would of added to this set up? I've now got a 3ft long,18" deep & 12" wide tank & also a 4ft long,18" deep & 15" wide tank to play with, Both going to be sand substrate after much searching online today.
I have several pieces of bogwood, & a large mangroove root looking thing & a pirate ship to use. Along with live plants when bought & some coconut shells which i like as hidey holes.

But would like your opinions on this pictured tank really, then i get some idea where to go or where i went wrong if i did.
Kept about 6 tetras in it, 3 mollies & 3 platys, an apple snail & a catfish.

Used a fluval 3 as seen in pic & a wall of bubbles at the back.

I don't have anything big enough to boil it in, comparing it to 3 other pieces of bog wood i have i must admit it feels different, its quite splintery & not as smooth as the other 3. I'll see what i can do with it, & if it causes a prob again it'll just have to go . Thanks
