My Power Is Going Out...

sooo.... aparently the power is going out for like 6 hours in the middle of the night to do maintenance... I have had my tank going for about 3 weeks, and added all the plants yeasterday..... I don't have any fish in there yet, and about 75% of the tank is covered in plants.... so if the power goes out for several hours, the bacteria in my filter will die.... right? but will the tank still be fine because the plants and the bacteria in the gravel will stay alive? hmm. I think it will be fine.... I hope.

Take the media out of the filter and float it in the tank. Pour water from the tank around the filter media a couple of times during the outage. This will maintain a decent O2 level, and create some circulation for the media.
