My Poor Neons :(

I was just wondering if there is anything i could do for my little neons, I had five in my tank and they were so happy! My local pet shop then advised me that gouramis would be the best fish to put in with my neons, so i got 3..the next day, one of my neons had disappeared, now 2 days later ive only got 2 left! 1 of them doesnt have a fin on the top anymore i feel so guilty and i dont know what i can do to stop it! They are just getting eaten!

take the gouramis back and complain and they should give you a refund for your gouramis and et some more neons or if you prefer the gouramis, take the neons back and get a refund.

Im a bit confused why they are doing it though, are they not meant to be gentle fish, that wont harm others? What fish would you recommend keeping with neons?

corys, other types of tetras, guppies, mollies, platys, WCMM, others i will think of.

What type of gouramis are they?

We have 2 red honey gourami and they are lovely- we have them in with several types of tetra, even tiny ember tetra, and they leave everything alone.
Maybe take the ones you have back (if they aren't honeys), and exchange them for honeys if you do like gouramis.

they are red coloured, im not 100% on what type, i think they were dwarf ones? they have 2 little feeler type things that they touch things with.. lol i dont know what they are technically called and if this narrows it down or not! Thank you for your help!
