my poor lil platys had to go wout any air last night when the electric went out it the middle of a dead sleep i suddenly woke to hearing no buubles i panicked an found an old air aider( dont know if i spelled it rt) that i used to use when i kept my shrimp alive for fishin trips luckaly they all lived though it i just hope they allo are gonna b ok know though

Usually theres enough oxygen in the tank to last them a few days or less... no worries!

but my tanks are very small only starter tanks 2 galls

If the power is back on now, and they look fine, they will be fine. In small tanks, the oxygen doesn't last quite as long, but they could probably go 24 hours, or so.
