Sorry not a great thread but im quite sad and wanted to put it on here.
ok, years ago when i got together with my fiance we got a pleco she was quite large then so not sure of her age. shes done really well, was so tame that when we moved house and i had to take her out of the tank i did so with first attempt (she was and still is 17 1/2 inches). she would come to the glass if i went near the tank and id even stroke her when cleaning the tank. so im really attached to milly and this evening shes just quite lifeless and her swim bladders given up. all stats temp etc same as normal nothing new in tank, so i think its just her time so ive turned off all lights in the room for her to have some peace. R.i.p my old friend

I love my sailfin but i wonder how long he will live. i recently noticed he has some growth still on his nostril (or that ever that is...) from when he had lymphocystis its gotten a little worse i doubt he will live a full life but seems happy at the moment.

Sorry to here about yours. ....

I am sorry...it's hard to lose a 'special" fish, and she does sound special!

thanks guys for replys, silly i know to put that on a post. she has now died bless her, im actually burrying her tommorrow. she was in a 5 foot with an oscar then on her own when he died of very old age few months back. wierd thing is i have a cat whos not cuddly and dont like fuss, but just before milly passed away my cat started to cry and sat on my lap, she also did similar when the oscar died few months back. I have other fish but she was special bless her rip

It's not silly at all...it helps to talk to other people who care for their fish. It sounds like she had a good life...you should feel proud of that!

thank you all so lovelly. i have burried her before i went to work.i think im going to change and have a planted tank now shes gone then when thats established go from there fish wise. what do you all think?

Might be good for you to do something different with the tank.

Im sorry to hear about your loss, its horrible losing fish especially one thats been with you for a long time.

RIP Millie.
