Well, this is the best picture I've gotten of my Pleco. I haven't named him yet, but I don't see him very often either. :( He hides and hides and hides.....

Time to buy a better camera. I tried to coax him out with some Algae tabs and it didnt' work. Since it's late I hit the switch about 1/2 an hour ago on the light.

Now he is out and my camera won't work in the dark. :(

wow hes tiny, but i cant get a good pic of my pleco either he is so skittish and he hides under a rock and suks all the time

Yeah, it's a good comparison when you look at that gave in my full pics. ;)

He is less than 2" (he was stuck to the tank right after putting him so I got the chance to measure him. ) 1 7/8" to be exact by the tape measure. :)

But, he has lots of growing room. I hope someday he will be as big as the one I saw in a pic here of a tank someone was trying to get from ebay. The pleco in that tank was "HUGE" :flex: .

But, he sure gets around the tank. :fun:

How big is your plec?

Proof they can't hid forever. :D

Sorry for the quality. I'm already looking for a better digital camer... :/

Sometimes plecs take quite a while to get used to their tanks.

My Tiger plec used to hide all the time, until i re-arranged the tank, and now he comes out and about alot!

Just remember Plecs arent necessarily "social" fish.

Ben

He is a common Pleco.

Looks somewhat like this, but nowhere near this size. ;)

Link didn't work. :(

I don't expect him to come out much, I just want to find those moments when I get a snapshot. ;)

I think no more fish snapshots till I get a 3MP or better camera w/ a much faster shutter. :/

Only problem with the pics is there out of focus, try standing back a little further and use your macro mode of you have it. In the last pic your focused ont he green plant in the back not the fish. The actual quality of them is not too bad. ;)

Plecs tend to do that.. hide!

Ours sometimes come out and pose - right untill they see you tense your finger to press the shutter button :sly:

I like Canon cameras... An absolute necessity is MACRO!!! (closeup)
Yes the cannon cameras are great, as you say Macro feature is a necessity if you plan on taking close ups. I took the picture in my avatar on a Canon Powershot A60 only 2MP but with the Macro mode and Optical zoom it takes some dalm good shots!

I'm already looking at a 3 from CompUSA for $130. :D

But, I got some more pictures. :D
