My Pleco

Bit weird but up untill yesterday my pleco looked the same - and then last night i noticed he seems lighter. am i imagining this?

just read on another site that it could be because i have changed to sand and he is trying to blend in - is this right?
he looks completely normal and isnt acting ill or anything ......just lighter!

They go lighter when stressed, and it might be trying to blend in, not sure on that though.

my gibb goes light when he is in a mood with the other fish for stealing his food.....

my opalines go dark when stressed.

I would say he has just had a bad day. worth monitoring though.

What type of plec is it? I know my bristlies are pale for a while after the tank lights come on/
