My Platys Pregnant

woohoo!!!
my platys pregnant i have been looking for signs for about 2 and a half weeks and last night when i was looking at one of my female platys she had a gravid spot im so excited!!!! i alrready have a net breeder and everything is ready

I don't want to disappoint you, but gravid spots aren't signs of pregnancy. They are always there in the females. They get darker and more pronounced in pregnant fish, so maybe that's what you are seeing. Size is the best way to identify a pregnant fish still.

oh well it has gotten more visible and i haven't noticed any really big changes yet

If your females have been in the tank with males, I wouldn't worry too much. They'll most likely be pregnant. Just be patient. Soon you will be hoping they hold off with their maiting.

Congratualations! It's amazing how these tiny little specs will make you happy, but they do.
We have 5 Platy Babies, they are so eeny weenie, you can hardly see them.
We could only catch 2, 3 are hanging out in the plants, and they are fast!
Hopefully fast enough to elude our gouramis! I'd post a pic of them, but I can't seem to catch them on the digital cam without blurring.
I'll try when they are a little bigger.
