My plants came when i was in school, and my mom put them in the tank right away(she just put them on op and made them float).
Now the water is all dirsty with bits of plants floating around.
I took the plants out and put them in a bucket and washed them a little.
Then I took the leaves that were in the tank out of it.

This is how the plants were when i came home:
-the stems of the amazon sword were bent
-the hygrophila and lugwigia were kind of brownish and hadd a lot of leaves missing
-the babys tears and wisteria were ok

I planted the wisteria and sword, let the babys tears float in the tank and leftthe others in the bucket.

The amazon sword had what looked like egs on it, so i took them out, thinking they were snail eggs.

What should I do??

The nitrite is 0 today.

Cut the hygrophilia and ludwigia up to where the leaves are healthy, then plant it. Leave some stem so that it could hold inside the gravel, it will then release roots. Pour in some fertilizer too, to get them going. HTH

"Up to" as in cutt of the top parts, or cut of the bottom parts??
I dont have fertilizer yet, ill get it when i buy my fish.

Amazon sword:
About 5 stems (the long ones) are bents, and about 3 short (2 in.?) ones are not bent. They will grow new stems right?? How long will it take?

Do the plants have to be completely covered by the water?

Also, do the roots have to be completely in the gravel?? (The Amazon Sword has looooooong roots.)

What kind of fertilizer should i use?

Trim off the bent stems (by which i assume you mean petioles, which is the stem like thing that attaches the leaf to the plant) and trim the roots as well to make it easier to plant. Don't worry, it will grow plently more of both. Use root tabs to fertilize swords, i like the Flourish tabs made by Seachem.

The top part of the hygrophlia leaves are orangish.
Are they supposed to be like that??????

Not really, they should be a light-darkish green. How many watts of lighting and what kind of tubes are you using?
